Default Progressive lowering kit....

I picked up the progressive lowering kit for the rear shocks on my softail. (what used to be the burnout cycles product). Does anyone have a set of instructions on how to install and adjust these? Mine didn't come with any. Or, is it easy enough to just explain here? Thanks.

I put them on last year, and if my memory serves me right...This is how you go about it...Need to disconnect the shaft end of the shocks. (Hopefully you have a jack as this will help a lot). The hardware you have basically screws on to the existing shock shafts..Keep in mind the longer you make the shock the lower it will be.. I put mine on a Deluxe which is already lowered and I have the lowering kit adjusted to its full length and it is almost too low. (Can't ride two up without bottoming out). Not a big deal since my Wife has her own ride. I used some blue loctite when assembling the hardware to the shock..That's about it fairly straight forward...Good luck....

You have to remove the lock nut and that plate.
I had that on mine for awhile. Couldn't hang with the frame bottoming out on the ground and the 3 % lean angle.

I have a set of Prog 422's that have 500 miles on them. They'll be on ebay in about a month.
If someone is interested PM me with an offer . I'd rather give someone on the board a deal.

SO are the 422s what you couldnt hang with or was that the extension nut and threaded piece you can get for about $90.00? If not why are you getting rid of the 422s? I may be interested.

I was under the impression that the Progressive kit had to be installed with a press and the Burnout Cycles kit just threaded on. Did Progressive change their design?
