rear pulley bolts update
lil sister's 05 deluxe broke all rear pulley bolts, her dealership, Mancuso HD ?, in Houston replaced pulley, bolts, and rear wheel on extended warranty. never heard of chroming weakening bolts. but she's happy and back on the road.

Chroming will make high carbon bolts brittle unless baking is done afterwards to remove the hydrogen. This will give some explanation. http://www.moldmakingtechnology.com/...es/040208.html

One of the guys at work had the same thing happen to his 07 Street Bob with 1000 miles on it. They repaced everything including the swing arm. Still no word on why.
