Kuryakyn Retractable Pass. Pegs and Floorboard Problem
5- By-Passes in 1998 and 4-By-Passes in 2005. Doctors retired me and the wife wanted me to have a dream of mine. So in 2006 I bought a brand new 2006 Softail Heritage Classic. My first Harley. What a timewe are having. Everydayhere isablessed day.
I need your suggestions.
I installed a set of Kuryakyn Retractable Passager Footpeg along with the Kuryakyn Brackets for the Harley Passager Floorboards. Looks great and the wife loves the versatility of foot positions. The problem: I can't keep the bolttight. About the third time my 130 lb. wife steps up on the passager floorboard, the 3/8" hex bolt that runs through the frame, the Retractable Passager Footpegs and into the Passager Floorboards comes loose? I use a hex/socket attachment and pull as hard as a 200 lb. 55 year old man can pull. I have even used the blue locktite and the red locktite and the bolt still comes loose. I'm open to your suggestions. Thanks for you help.
