Can you please help with mounting a windshield to my Fatboy, as I have relocated the turn signals onto the lower outboard bolt hole on the upper fork tubes (see pic). Will the standard windshield still mount, or will I need different windshield mount? If the standard windshield still mounts, will I need to get longer bolts to fit both the windshield AND turn indicator in the same hole?
I asked the dealer and he wasn't sure, and he has to order the windshield, so I don't want make a screw-up and get the wrong one. [:@]
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! [sm=smiley20.gif]
It doesn't appear that you'll get a windshield on the bike with the turn signals mounted there. Even if you figured a way to do so, they would be behind the windshield. With the curvature of thewindshield I don't believe there is any room for the turn signals in that location.

That T/S location won't work with a WS. (As least as far as trying to fit a detatchable W/S). The lower holes in the tins are a mount location for the W/S bracketrubber grommets.
It can be done. I've seen Fatboys set up that way. If I'm not mistaken there are threads/pictures on this forum of detachable windshields mounted with the turn signals in that location. The rubber grommet just slips over the bolt that goes in that location. You can get get a piece of threaded bar and cut to the appropriate length to retain the use of the rubber grommet for mounting the windshield. Start searching on here and and I think you'll find several threads that can help you with your question.
Also, I've found that many dealerships aren't a lot of help with this question if there's not a kit made for it...and there isn't, at least by Harley.I've looked. I intend on doing the same thing.
A friend of mine has an '03 Fatboy with the turn signals relocated just like yours. He went with a non-detachable Memphis Shade low-profile windshield.
Thank you much! That's great information. I will search and when I find, I will let you know. I'm sure that it can be done, one way or another. Cheers buddy! [sm=smiley32.gif]

You're welcome. Glad I could contribute information someone can use. I rarely get to do that. Let me know how it works out.
