On my 03 Standard, new to me this year, I had Screaming Eagle II slip ons (came with them). I did not like the quiet sound so put some cycle shack slip ons. I eventually took the baffles out of them. I don't particularly like the sound of them. I still yearn for the deep, bassier sound I have gotten from previous bikes (dyna and RoadKing). Even my wifes 883 with cheap slipons sound better.
Also, I swear there is a background, ticky-ticky noise from the exhaust when excelerating. Its clearly not engine noise. It has been there with both sets of pipes tho. Any ideas?
I just want a deep, semi-loud (or even loud) exhaust system....I'm not looking for performance.
Any recommendations? (preferably w/o breakin the bank). Thanks
I just started to install a set of V&H Big radius on my fatty tonight, should have them all fitted and ready to roll tommorow and I can't wait to hear her when I fire her up [8D]
I know there are some threads where folks are trying to get something different because they are sick of seeing V&H. But ya know what? They're popular for a good reason. They sound awesome.
V&S pipes sound the best. I have the Big Shot Staggered on my standard they sound and look great. Also the Big Radius are good too.(buddy has them)[sm=crossbonesgif.gif]
