Default Finally made the decision..

I've been going back and forth for quite some time now as to which bars to put on my bike. I couldn't decide between the Carlini 1.5" Freeway, Flyin Ape or Gangster Apes.. I've decided to go with the Gangster Apes. They're all great looking, but I've seen fewer of these on the board here and none around town. Then again, I guess it's too cold out here for a lot of the riders in the area. ??

Wow! I LOVE those bars! Can I ask where you bought them and how much. I know they are not cheap, but I want to do those or Nash Gimp Hangers.

I can't wait to see the pictures!

The bars do not interfere with the windshield, I still have about 1/2 inch to move the bars back. I did have to remove the 3-bag windshield pouch and install the 2-bag pouch which barely fits, but it works fine. I did cut the windshield down about 3 inches as well.

I ordered them from Carlni. I haven't been able to find anyone that discounts them. They're certainly not cheap, but I'm pretty excited. I don't look forward to extending the wiring again. I put 13" apes on the Nightster I had before by myself, and that's definitely my least favorite part! At least I can wire my aux lights up right.

bummer! they just called me an said that (contrary to their website) the 1.5"gangster apes only come 16" and taller. Ah well, 16's it is. Unfortunately, I already ordered +6 cables. Can I still do it with +6 or will I need longer? How tall are the carlini risers? I ordered the boob riserts to go with the bars (and the poly bushings as well)

You might be able to get away with +6 cables.

The 16" apes will be awesome. If you went with less than that, you would have moved up to 16" eventually. I think you are doing it right the first time!I'm 5'6 and my hands are just above the shoulders. I had 14" and wanted 16's .

Those are really nice with the 1.50" thickness. 16"'s are the right height. Trust me...
