RE: which makes more hp? big radius 2into1 or dual ?
It seems as the 2 into 1 maintains more overall power in the comparisons I have seen. I don't think it is a huge gain or loss between the two on a stock Harley (depends on what is considered a huge gain or loss)? If there has been several modifications to the bike you will see more of a difference in the two. It really depends on the overall set-up and the type and/or brand of the 2 into 1 versus true duals. Sorry probably not much help here, just info I have seen on dyno graphs on the net.
RE: which makes more hp? big radius 2into1 or dual ?
I have been told by those who have them that the 2 into 1 have more torque but I have not heard any HP gain. I would suggest sending email to Vance and Hines. They would be happy to answer that question.[/align]
RE: which makes more hp? big radius 2into1 or dual ?
When I went through WyoTech, especially my Dyno certification courses, we kind of proved that duals are an overall better pipe to go with.
However, you do have the occasional exception, such as ThunderHeader, which was capable of ridiculous HP with an 01 Super Glide. Also, not too bad with torque either... which in my opinion, with HD, is more important than HP anyway.
Again, this IS all brand speciffic too. Joe Schmoe fabrication down the road may just be a set of single walled rumblers that sound and look good, but perform like a crippled cat running from a pack of wolves.

G'day
Anybody know which makes more HP? Big radius dual or the 2into1 for 2007/2008 ?
Any help appreciated. Mate of mine wants to know before deciding which to put on.

I'm certainly no expert....but..is it HP you want? or Torque? HP is normally associated with higher RPM.
While torque is what we all know an love in the operating range of these V twins.
