HD Round Nostalgia Air Cleaner Cover
Anyone else have trouble with the round HD nostalgic bar & shield logoair cleaner cover (#29138-91) clearing the base of their SE air cleaner? I tried one on my '08 Deluxe and the coverrubs the base of my SE air cleaner (notthe filter element). I used the suggested gasket kit (#29591-99) and it still touches - even before I fully tighten the center screw making it seem like it dosen't fit properly. A thicker gasket would be the solution. Any other similar experiences out there ??? Thanks.

I have the same cover on my 2003 FatBoy (with SE setup), and it fits perfectly....
I don't know, but when using the 'gasket' there is plenty of clearance on my bike.

I have the smooth and it seems fine.
Voyager is onto something here.
The part number you have listed is for:
29138-91
Fits '90-'99 carbureted (CV) Evolution® 1340-equipped models. Also fits all '99-later Twin Cam models equipped with Screamin' Eagle® High Flow Air Cleaners when installed with Gasket Kit P/N 29591-99 (sold separately)

Plenty of clearance here, I think you may have the wrong model for your bike, maybe packaged wrong.
