Default Need Opinions - Winter Project

Before I get flamed, yes I can make up my own mind.

Just thought it would be cool to get opinions on what mods I can do while the snow piles up here in PA[:@]. Let me know what you think. I'll attach a pic so you can see some of what's been done so far.

Nice looking scootDunk 2. Here's an easy one for cosmetics. How about chrome grips, signal switches, etc.

Are your bars comfy to you, if not you could change them out. How about some new grips, add some chrome switch housings, braided cables and clutch cable.

Just some ideas.

Later,
Dan

It a great bike right now. So where do I begin?

1st off:
How much do you want to spend?
How much do you think you're gonna spend?
How much are you actually gonna spend?
All three are different (ever increasing) numbers you know.

12" Apes (minimum) ($200)
Braided cables ($100)
Laydown license plate or under the tail light ($40)
rear axel cover ($180)
There's a backrest that fits that seat I think or the Springer seat (I can't remember) ($150 guess)
Aligator or Crockadile leather seat inserts and gell pad($300 custom install)
Rims ($3,000)
Rear spocket to match rims ($450)
Chrome fork lowers ($700)
Leather Pro detachable bags (they make one that matches your seat sides) ($700)
Chrome switch housings ($140)
Nostalgic grips ($50)
"Harley Goodies" floor board extenders (a must if you have large feet like me) ($50)
and then there's installing all this stuff ($$$$$$$)

You out of money yet?

I see you noted Aligator, Crockadile seat inserts, know of a shop that does this work and or a site?

You forgot the 240 rear tire, swingarm and fender setup and the open belt primary.

Kidding! I love that bike. Anything you do will just make you like it better.

I agree with others on the grips and switch covers. Also would consider doing something with floorboards and foot controls. You have a nice looking ride.
