Cheap cover for AC
No gasket nessesary.
I relooked your part numberup from your other tread and the gasket should makeyours work.
Mine (the smooth) doesn't say anything about a gasket.
Sorry, I'm not much help.
The aftermarket anniversary stuff is void of the copper highlights.HD hasall their anniversary covers now in the parts catalog, but none of them have copper in them.

Hey Les, that looks GREAT. I've been thinking about going "round", but I want to keep my decorative copper ring that's on my stock a/c cover. I'll have to look close, maybe that ring comes off. and I can place it with a round cover. I don't think it comes off easy.

But a not so cheap way would be to add the 105th Anniversrsary trim ($120) Air Cleaner Trim, to the round cover ($40).
It's not Gold, but does have your 105th logo.

You may want to ask if you can send it back if it doesn't fit to your liking.
I think it should, but that's a lot of money to guess with.
There is a bracket that has the one screw that fits into the Air Cleaner cover then the 105th cover screws tothe bracketwith the 5 screws.
I also saw one time where a guy used a dremel tool and cut out the ring off a standard football and used it for the cover.
My hands aren't that steady or I might do that.
You could order a replacement football and try that, then put that copper ring on the round ac, but the edge wouldn't be smooth enough, I wouldn't think. Not if I did it anyway.
Your bike really looks good. Should be a canditate for BOM. You might give those "baggers" a run for their money.
Mine would be way down the softail line, there are some serious great looking softies on here.
......and of course there is no way to beat the baggers at that anyway.
The downside would be, I'd have to list all I've done to her, then I'd start to think about how much I've spent. [sm=outcold.gif]
Not to get off topic and derail your post too much, but how are those Cruise Arms working out since you installed them?We had briefly discussed potential flex, since they are mounted to the floorboards, so I wanted to ask how they feel.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

There is only flex if you try and make them flex. You have to push really hard to get them to move any.
Just normal use and there isn't any flex.
You couldn't stand on, them but I'm happy.
I like them a lot better since I put the "Harley Goodies" floor board extention on.
It moves the boards out 1 1/2".
I don't know how the Mark IVs would work with the extentions,
because the Mark IIIs move out with the boards and gets them out from behind the shifter and brake pedals.
I really like these extentions for more room.

If you notice in the above pic, my rear shifter peg is not above the floorboard, rater behind it. That is because I used the HD extended rider floorboard pans. The move the floorboard 2" further forward and at $79.00 is the cheapest way that I know of to move them. Although a word of caution, with the extended pans, the MK III highway pegs will need some modification to make them work, but it just involves drilling some new holes.
