Default Finally passed my test!

The weather today was so nice. I figured I'd give the road test a try. I'd nevertried it before or practiced, but Ipassed. That test really sucks! I've been riding for quite some time, and I can honestly say, I've never had to do a lot of that stuff before. Ah well, at least I won't have to do it again.

I've put on a little over 10k miles this year. It's been about 2 years since I sold my last bike.I've never had to weave through any cones. It just seems pointless. I think a better test would involve someone following me on an actual road in traffic. I guess it doesn't matter, really.

THE FIRST ROAD TEST I TOOK MAAANY YEARS AGO IN VA, WENT LIKE THIS...

DROVE MY YAMAHA 250 ENDURO DOWN TO THE DMV, TOOK THE WRITTEN PART, PASSED, THE LADY GIVES ME A PAPER AND TELLS ME TO SEE (POINTING) THE FELLOW OVER THERE FOR THE ROAD TEST... SO I DO...HE TELLS METO RIDE AROUND THE BLOCK...SO I'M WALKING OUT, ANDHE'S NOT FOLLOWING...SO I ASK, "AREN'T YOU GONNA WATCH ME"? HE JUST LOOKS AT ME AND SAYS, "WELL YA GOT HERE DIDN'T YA"...?

SO I GO, AND RIDE AROUND THE BLOCK...COME BACK IN AND THE GUY GOES, AS HE'S SIGNING MY PAPER, "MADE IT 'ROUND THE BLOCK TOO"!

WHEN I GOT MY 89 FXSTC HERE IN NM, MY VA. MS ENDORSEMENT WAS GOOD TO GO, (NO WRITTEN TEST REQUIRED) THEY DID MAKE ME DO SIMILAR ROAD TEST AS YOU WITH THE CONES...

I'm glad thast my buddy naged the hell out of me for years. Not a day goes by that I don't try to ride. I ride to work every day. About 42 miles one way. Nice to see you pass the test. I hate test ! Florida makes you do a left then right U turn in a rectangle 17" wide and I think about 30 " long...pretty much full lock...points for stabbing a foot or going outside the box...it's a lot easier on a small bike...no cone weaves though ( too easy )

I paid $50 last July to take the ABATE 8 hour class. Spent a day putting around the local high school parking lot on a 250 POS (supplied by ABATE)... Had to do the double U-turn in a box (went outside the box, minus 5 points), high speed swerve (20 mph - WOW) to avoid a cone, hard brake in a turn, hard brake on a straight-away, proper use on controls and signals, and afew other rather easy tasks. Passed with only 5 points off. In ND, this qualifies as the road test, so I went down to DMV when we finished and paid $13 for my written test and license. And then got the $50 paid to ABATE reimbursed by H.O.G. in a gift cert valid at the local HD dealer!
