I got my Goldwing when I was 32 (Im 34 now). They can call me anything they want.
TK353- The Goldwing is a real bike. I love when my buddys and I ride 1000 miles to Florida. They are on their Harleys (there are also 4 other Wings)and I ride my Wing. We always have to stop so they can "rest" OR repair their bike. There are 20 of us that ride down and we always have an issue with a Harley every time. I laugh when a Harley guy has to get on the back of a Wing.
Dont get me wrong...I love my Harley....but theres no way you can knock a Goldwing. Power, reliability, and comfort
"but theres no way you can knock a Goldwing. Power, reliability, and comfort"
You also forgot boring.
I know the Gold Wing is a nice bike, and I know Mini Vans are really convienant, but I don't drive one.
Check the signature...Theres plenty of excitement.
Also....when its 20* outside, and Im riding, I dont see any H-D's
I do alot of long distance riding. (500 mile + )I like my Goldwing
[sm=imsorry.gif]Okay I see the sig, you have lots of toys there. You are one lucky S.O.B. or one brokeS.O.B. (one or the other) LOL [sm=joke.gif]
.........and if I could aford more than one bike, I would also buy a Road Warrior Mini Van (a.k.a. dresser).
I would considerowning and riding a Gold Wing (no chit). They are great touring bikes.
Come to think of it, I may just check out some used Gold Wings. [sm=confused06.gif]
If I do, do you know any good divorce lawyers?

If you ever marry that girl friend she'll do more than roll her eys. Count on it.

It's your dough. Buy what you want. The heritage is one of the best riding bikes in the line. It's a real cruiser that can go the long haul with style. As far as women- I found that being a nice respectful guy works better than flashy bikes and cars, etc. Furthermore, I don't want women riding with me anyway. My bike handles like $hit with all that weight complaining about my seat back there. And with a foot clutch- forget about it.
Excellent responses and replies. Yes I knew right away that you should always ride what you want and what you could afford. I just thought it to be interesting that there are still people out there that think that certain age deomographics should ride this bike, or certain races should ride that bike, or women should ride etc etc....you get the point. Im not married. But not single either. And my girlfriend likes what I like pretty much. Hell she dont know enough about harleys or bikes all together to even give me an educational opinion. She just goes by the colors. " I like that color" is all she says. Although she did give the heritage deluxe a thumbs down based strictly on the white walls. She didnt like the white walls at all. then again, maybe I am listening to her too much considering she doesnt knowsquat about bikes. Go figure lol
by the way...... never involve a nonrider girlfriend in your decision process. Especially if she knows nothing about motorcycles. Believe me, it can be close to hell including her in this process. Here I am looking at big twin powered harleysoftails, and then she pulls out a suzuki booklet. "look at this one honey".......................................women
