This is one of my favorite threads. I still haven't gotten through all the 181 pages but when I try I am stunned by all the sick looking rides. I love my apes and everyone else's apes!

Considering HD's 16" Fat Apes with the stock riser on my Slim. Are there any clearance issues with the tank or console? I like the idea of keeping the bars closer the tree. Also, the combination will put the bars at about 14". Are there any other considerations?

Hey Hurricane19, it's OK. This is the "Softail" forum but the thread is "apes" so it's all good. I for one welcome all riders even those who ride something other than a Harley. I have learned much over the years and it always hasn't been from those who only ride 1 brand or type of bike.
