Update- the bike is still at the dealership as I've not totally paid for it yet. Waiting for the bags and windshield to come in. Day of purchase (Sunday) I talked to the salesman and said I'd like to get pipes because I just knew that the stockers were whisper quiet and wanted something a bit barkier. But, no extra money, so I said no to the pipes. Today, I couldn't stand it and called them back and had them order V&H shortshots, H-D pack and a S/E A/C. Ugh. 6 hours labor too. Yea!!!!!!!! Now, since the pipes are coming from an outside supplier, they said 7-10 day for them to show up. Then the scheduling it in. This is going to be the LONGEST 2 weeks ever recorded. All the clocks in the house just stopped. Good grief.
Just got it home yesterday (Thursday 22nd). Finally got to hear it for the first time! JEEZ, why didn't you guys tell me it was going to be rippin' loud!!! I'm worried about tickets now. Really! Ah, looks so good in the garage. No first test ride for some time. Snow melting and it's raining.
LMFAO..Parking in the living room bought back memories of when I bought my '80 Sportster and parked in my apartment at night. I had to rearrange the furniture so I could do a 180 in it and get it back out the door. And that was'nt easy because the door was 36 inches wide and there was a wall right there. I have a pic in my scrap book ( and I would post it here if I could figure out how too) of thecourtesy officer there. He was a Lt. in the Dallas SWAT then. He came by to tell me the Manager was pissingabout the bike being on the front porch and suggested to park it by his apartment and it would be safer there during the day considering he bought home a marked unit. I got the pic of him in his blues with the rainbow shoulder ribbons sitting on the bike. And today??? He's the Chief of Police here in McKinney.Funny how that works huh?
Last May we went into the dealer justto look around. Came home with my Fatboy same day with no planning.
Its amazing how I made it fit into the garage in about 10 minutes.
Displace the junk and park the Jewel.

Congrats on the new scoot man.I remember the day i bought mine home like it was yesterday.
Very happy for you and like already mentioned,it doesnt matter how cluttered the garage is you will always find room for the beast. And yes the sound when you crank her over certainly stirs the soul.
Congratulations on your new ride! Feb 10th will be two years since I got my Deluxe and I remember for about two weeks getting out of bed in the middle of tha night running downstairs peeking into the garage to see if I wasn't having a reoccuring dream or something! Its a feeling I'll never forget. Tha wife will still catch me sitting in a chair viewing my bike while having a good cold Budwiser. Life is Good! Happy New Year!
