Default Bag Recommendations?

I have an 06 Fatboy and am going to install bags shortly. Would like something that is removable, mainly for ease of cleaning the bike, and locks. Any recommendations? If you have a Fatboy with bags, pics would be great. Thanks.

I was hesitant to put bags on my bike, it took almost 3 years to do it. But I finally went with Osprey Saddlebags ( www.ospreylimited.com or www.saddlebags.net ) the "Bull Bags" they are very well made (steel and plastic reinforced, thick leather), seem to be the largest bag that can be mounted without moving the Turn Signals and for use with quick releaseEasy brackets. And the price is great, I paid $ 450.00! Mine are pretty plain because that is what I wanted, but they can make them any way you want.

I highly reccommend them, give David the owner a call he seems to be good guy.

I would recommend Ironbags.
http://www.ironbags.com/

There are several members of the forum that have them. They are made of quality thick leather, so there is no problems with the lids deforming. Mine are the Iron Thunder model. They are not consideredquick releasebut youjust need to remove 3 nuts per bag to take the bags off.
Boss bags are another good saddle bag.

I'm not going into a long list of why I really like my Leather Pro bags, but I do recommend them.
They have lots of styles and sizes.
Hard lined to keep their shape.
Looks great,
Already comes with a quick connect system that locks on easy and solid,

Another leatherpros fan here. I even bought their trunk bag that fits on the back of my luggage rack with ease. It's a good company to deal with and the bag removal is a snap.

Texas Fat Boy,

Awesome bike you have there. What size bags are those? Do you know if they work with the detachable sissy bar hardware?

Thanks Fireman,

I have the LP3200. The 3200 will not fit with standard Fat Boy exhaust, but would fit with the standard exhaust on a Deluxe.

...and yes they will work with the detachable Harley set up. I have that myself.
You just have to tell them that you have the detachable setup when you order the bags.
All the Leather Pro bagscome with the detachable hardware for the bags.

I had to order the bags through a Harley dealer, but my parts guy was happy to set up an account with them.
I had the bags very quick (less than a week) (same week I believe).

I sent you some a PM with a picture of the turn signal relocation picture but here it is again. You can see I have the detachable setup.

and here is it on:
(my trunk is a Boss Bag) I may end up going with a Leather Pro trunk next summer though. But I don't use it very often so maybe not.
The "Boss Bag" guy and the "Leather Pro" guy are brothers, both seem to be great companies, but the Leather Pro guy had the docking system perfected. But you can order the Boss Bags over the phone. I orderthe medium sizetrunk and sent it back for the biggest one. No problem with the exchange from Boss Bags after I saw it in person. Their delivery was quick also.
