Yea, for sure the TX safety inspection sticker is butt ugly. I wish we had a small one to stick on the plate itself.

I might just consider like some here have said to just carry it somewhere......like in the tool bag.

Ride safe all

New Jersey used to require it on the left front fork leg.
Now its a 1" +/- rectangular sticker on the license plate under the registration year sticker.

S D, the thing I did on my Deluxe was take that damn plate off because it was covering the license plate light, then I ordered a chrome inspection sticker bracket from J&P when I needed my 1st inspection, handed it to the guy after he walked around the bike saying how clean it was about 20 times, after he put tha sticker on the bracket.........I put it in my rear pocket and thats how I ride. I make sure I have my cash, insurance card, a credit card, and my inspection sticker on that chrome bracket in you biker wallet. In Feb. I'll come up for my second inspection, and Im going to the same spot!

I don't know about Texas, but I've been an LEO in Jersey for 30 years and if I wrote one bike for inspection then he must have been a real a**hole. And I write about 600+ movers a year. I wouldn't worry about it.

In my wallet...In Mississippi, they don't have to be applied to the motorcycle, because they're not waterproof.

Well now I'm curious sinceI'm thinking about moving to Texas
Dont do it! I have lived here for a little over a year, find someplace else to live. I am actually going to register my bike back in Illinois when the Texas registration runs up. That way I do not have to deal with the inspections.

Well, my ex recently moved there with our seven year old daughter. I appreciate the advice, but I'm thinking most arguments you can come up with against me moving there would be outweighed by the opportunity to see my daughter much more often. I heard from lots of people that hated Florida before I moved here and I'm glad I didn't listen to them, because I love it here. But yeah, let's not hijack this guy's thread and turn it into an "I love/I hate Texas" thread.

I live in Texas and had them put a chrome plate on the passenger peg.
They also sell one that has a 90 degree bend, so it faces to the rear, if you are worried about it.
It's kinda outta sight, not sticking out like those hangingoff the plate.
