I'm 6'3 and it is mostly in the legs. I liked how the drag bar and low seat stretched my upper torso out. I had planned to put the 3" extensions on after my pipes, which would have really made a difference. However, I will never know seeing as that cager pulled out in front of me a 2 fridays ago.

If that's your wide glide, 3" extensions will give you about the same (or slightly less) leg room, as what you have now. I've sat on a few 06 and later wide glides, and they seem to havea touchmore leg room than the earlier models.I have an FXST with ness 3" extensions, and they give me about the same leg room as my 02WG with the stock controls. I'm 6'3", with a 34" inseam.

Jayson...you and I are EXACTLY the same height/inseam...I put the 3" Ness forwards on my '06 FXST and I'm glad I did (my bike is exactly the same as a NT only with chrome, silver engine cases and buckhorn bars)...I've ridden 500 miles in a 8-hour stretch (fetching the Mascot from Ks.to Colo.) and was comfortable the entire way...the3" extensions looked a bit wierd to me at first but not "sore thumb" wierd...I don't even notice them now. As far as the NTin generalit's a GREAT looking bikeBUTyou'll probably be swappingout those stock NT drags for something else...they're not very comfortable on the long rides...and you'll find outin the first 50 milesthat the stock badlander seat is an *** buster (even worse than the stock FXST seat)...if you're going for the blacked out look (or maybe you just want a softail) get the NT and make the necessary adjustments to fit...otherwise IMO theWide Glide is a overall better fit for us long-legged types.

im 6'4". My NT has the AN 3" extentions and stock bars and seat.

I want to run a Mustang Fastback / Gunslinger style seat and a slighty higher wider bar and im mint. Totally perfect look and ride.

Ok guys I have had the voices in my head telling me to "buy a Night train, buy a night train, buy a night train". I'm sure you have all been there. I remember looking at them when I bought my Wide Glide and they were just too short legged for me. I am a gnats eye lash under 6'3" with a 36 inch inseam. I wonder has anyone had to put extensions on the forwards, and if so, how do the look and feel ? Do they look junky on the bike, and are the comfortable ?
Do what i did, couldnt afford a train & my springer so I blacked out my springer, best of both worlds! More black outs on the way, dash, fender struts & maybe wheels

JAYSON, I have the Accutronix 3" extended controls on my train and i love them. I am a large 6,2". The Ness plates are a cost effective alternative, but the new controls are serious looking on the bike.
