hey all,
i have a 2007 fxstc and it has the BSS on since i picked it up at the dealer new.it seems to have a tinny sound instead of the deep throaty sound i was looking for.i put the quiet baffles in and it helped a lot but killed my power.anybody got the pro pipe and how does it perform?i also dont like the popping when i let off with the BSS i have now.i need a little quieter at idle and low end and some bark on top end......and ideas?
I have Vance and Hines Pro Pipe. It has a nice deep throaty sound to it. I've had a lot of compliments from folks riding behind me on how much they like the sound of my bike.
I love the Cobra 2-into-1s I have on my FXSTC. It's pretty quiet at idle and at really low speeds, but twist the throttle and it lets out a nice deep tone. They also have a lifetime warranty which is a plus.
I've heard many Pro Pipes. They all sound the same to me..
Nothing plush about it IMHO.
JMO here..
Want good sounding pipes?
I suggest anything 2 into 2 with a three step that ends in a 2 1/2" baffle like Bassani Pro Streets or Rineharts.
V&H pipes while nice pipes, all end up with a 2", except for their drag pipes. All sound tinny to me.
Yuck.
I've got a new set of Crossbacks in my garage to cure my problem.....
You could check out the D&D Fat Cat, 2 into 1 with the quiet baffle and the Super Trapp, 2 into 1, with the adjustable discs. I haveSamson, Rip Saws, which are 1 3/4" drag pipes. The bike runs great with them but they are extremely loud, so I have been doing some research on the different exhaust systems available. I have narrowed my choice down to the 2 thatI mentioned.
