Smashed and Cashed
OK, Here's the deal.......... My wife and I were hit last April as we sat at a light. Bike was totaled, broke my ankle and the 'ole Lady came away with about a hundred stitches in her noggin. Long story short........... We got a lawyer and the settlement should pay for our new bike. I couldn't wait and financed a new '06 Heritage Classic............. So what's my problem? The only bikes I have owned for the past 20 years have been shovels. There ain't nothin' I can't fix on one, in fact I just finished a ground up restoration on my '76 FLH and was out on a test ride when the kid in the pickup truck reached down for the joint he dropped. I know absolutely NOTHIN' about the new twin cams.......... I like my pipes loud, but the dealer said it was gonna' cost about a thousand for some new straight pipes (along with the power commander and stage one that's required). If I do the work myself, the warrenty is void. Has something to do with the catalytic converter the california tree ****'s pushed. Should I get the power commander or just a chip they can install? I don't want to sound ignerant, ingnorent, ign..........uh, dumb, but this whole computerized bike is new to me. Any help?
