Everybody is getting their panties in a wad over nothing! As everyone knows, ALLstock Harleys are just starter kits. Once they become more prevalent, parts and accessories start beingmanufactured and distributed, the customization and transformation will begin.Let's give'em a couple years and see what happens. I think HD is trying to attract adifferent sector, younger riders and more femaleswith this model to sell more bikes.Ehh, just my 2 cents! Ride on!! [sm=biker2.gif]

I looked at one yesterday at Blue Ridge HD in Hickory NC. They are only asking MSRP for theirs. I liked the way it sat and felt. I don't like the oil tank. The ribs just don't do anything for me. I HATE the seat. That thing is still fugly. I'd like to ride one, but I won't be buying one. JMO

I don't like it. I'd rather have a Deuce as well.

I definitely like the "C's" chrome better than that other one with the grey.
It's not for me, but its fine I'm not calling it ugly.

It needstank lift though.

........and I'm not sure why people are in such a fit over the seat.
It's a solo ridingbike. The rear seat is just for emergencies.
Like when that gal at the bar is drunk enough for you to take her home.
Let’s just hope she doesn’t fall off the seat onto the rear fender.

You probably have a good point, but I fear that the people who get one are going to be in the same boat as the early, and even a lot of late, Deuce owners.
Their going to see a lot of parts catalogs full of goodies they would like to add to their bikes with a tag on it saying "FitsSoftails from 2000 up, except Rocker". The really bad part is that because they never will make as many Rockers as they do the other 'more standard Softails'. It might be a couple of years before anyone botherstoreengineering partstill they see a viable market. The aftermarket industry isn't stupid and they as a whole are not about tospend a ton of money doing that if there's not going to be enough people willing topay for it.

I agree that is SHOULD be a solo rider... and I'm OK with that. The solo setup IS better looking than the diving board hanging off the back. Maybe if it would flip up and act as a backrest for the rider.. that would be cool. I just don't like the gap between the seat and fender. Just not my style. I like for the lines of a bike to flow together.. not be disjointed.

I saw one the other day. Honestly, it is the only Softail I've ever liked the looks of. The only problem is that boat anchor of a motor--I'd put something like one of the new S&S X-Wedge on it, or perhaps an 88" build on a Sportster motor.

Plus, it's overpriced by about 5 Grand.

If I had the $$$, I would buy it.

IMHO of course.

No ,it is not growing on me. I want to like it too because its a Harley but I just cant do it. I dont think it will last. They should go back to the drawing boards and build something better looking. Having a 240 rear tire dont make it cool.
I'm looking forward to the first thread about someone having a new rear tire put on at the dealer. Ya think a dealer is expensive with a normal tire change wait until someone has a dealership replace a 240.
I'll change my own 240, no dealer for me!!
