Default Seat straps/grab straps

I just bought a Brawler seat for my '05 fatboy. Is the strap really required as the catalog says or does it say that simply because it's the law? I'd like to have the strap if necessary before the seat comes in the mail so I can put it on right away. I'd rather go without the strap, though. Thanks, in advance.

Matt

I think that would be there for liability other than anything else. Kind of like a warning on a car jack, that you arent suppose to work under one. Its the old C.Y.A.

If you dont get up on the top rung, you'll need a taller ladder.[sm=headbang.gif]

I always wondered why they don't just move the top rung to the same height as that damn top cap
