VV,
Why don't you consider some 't' bars that still give you the drag bar look but
offer a more upright seated position.
I like the Wild1's chubby 1-1/4" bars they have one designed just for your springer.
Ride 'em on your trip and if you don't like 'em sell them to me LOL!!
Check these out they have like 11" pullback, not bad. By the way, your open belt drive primary looks excellent!
This bike is not nearly as niice as yours but you get the idea!!! What do you think????
[sm=feedback.gif] 2002Springer
I joined this group because I'm throwing around the idea of swappin' out my drag bars for a set of ape hangers....I'd like to see some good photo's of a Springer with apes before I commit...(there's so much to choose from)....and the drag bars suitmy biketo a tee....But I got a long ride ahead of me this summer (Northern Manitoba Canada to Milwaukee) and I don't want to be numb from the waist up once I get there...I'm just worried that there not going to suit my bike?...Any info would be welcomed.
This is my beast...and yes....that is a functional Nitros bottle (strapped down beside the seat)!!!
Click on my gallery - it is a 2007 FLSTSC with 9.5" Chubbys on it. I am 6' even and the position is perfect for me. My hands are just below shoulder height.
T ROBB666, that bike is badass! as far as you vinnyvegas, I dont think think apes look bad on any bike( i think robb could use 'em alittle taller, and black out your triples), in my opinion. you should ride some bikes w/apes, make sure you like it before spendin the
$$400 min on doing it. to me its more comfortable than what you got, but thats just me.
I really hate drag bars and can't imagine riding anything with out apes
mine are 16 and way comfy just a straight out reach .. they are set on 1 inch risers and I have ridden 500+ days several time and several in a row..
