what year is it? Im sure that a softail with floorboards of the same year would be a direct bolt on to yours. I know people with 07-08 fatboys are now switching to forward controls from 07-08 softail customs/night trains etc, so im sure it would be the same the other way around. Im actually thinking of doing this if i can find someone willing to swap or a set for a good price.
Its not just for 50 miles thats just how far it is one way to work.Have a bad hip and footpegs just get uncomfortable on long rides.Seen some nice floorboards on VTwin site made for Softails just thought would try them.
then you will definitly want to maybe look at stirrups for your pegs or get the floorboards. I live 45 miles from work and ride my bike alot in the summer. Floorboards are da shiznits....
I consider my floor boards very comfortable. Since you are starting from scratch, you might want to consider the 2" longer boards. Some of the members on here posted about switching from the standard length to the longer boards. It gives you a bit more room to move your feet back and forth. My 2005 SE Fat Boy comes stockwith the longer boards
