Yes you can, but you do need an adaptor kit. But the up side is that the kit setup uses a couple of pieces of heavy gauge steel to attach the rear of the rack and it is a LOT stronger than the stock plastic tailight setup.
Here's a pic of my Tribar w/rack.
Citoriplus, I am looking to do the same thing in this thread, with the exception that I only plan to keep the luggage rack on the bike when traveling with luggage. I have an 07 FSXTC, that I installed the tri-bar tail light on. If I were to get the adaptor kit 59320-07 and install it, will it be noticeable and look bad when I do not have the luggage rack attached? It also looks different on the HD site than what is pictured on your bike, is the stainless steal part your picture shows not part of the package? And will I have to take the tail light back off to install the adaptor kit 59320-07? Also am I going to need to order a separate washer to use with the bike as I have the factory seat still on. I got that impression from the HD site and talking to a parts guy at the dealer ship. However the Part number on the HD site doesnât seem valid when you enter it in to the search box. If that is something that will be needed do you happen to know what the part number is?
Thanks for letting me pick your brain, sorry for all the questions.
