new bike ?
i have a new bike picked up fri rode about 100 mi sat seams fine. started sunday starts hard smokes same today? this is a fxstc softail custom.i had a 1200 sporty 07 last. it just seams to be real rich? thanks Dee report i went by dealers to day said bike had been on flour for a long time and cold weather not to wory i rode a bit to day no problem. so i will see thank you all very much for your concern. Yikes, doesn't sound good. If it truly "smokes" can you tell weather the smoke is black or blue? I think blue would be rich, but as Live2Ride said, bikes come lean from the factory, black would be oil. I hope you did not have an issue with the piston rings while breaking in the bike this weekend. Take her back. I'd call and tell the dealer what's going on and you'll be in as soon as the temp goes up a little.
PS: 40 degrees ain't all that cold

i am going out to the shop now and start it again and ck to see i will take a/c cover off also.no it was only 44 sat sun was out some wind but if you dress it is not bad. i will call dealer in morning they may come pick it up they have been real good with me. i have bought 4 bikes in 15 mo.

i just went out to ck air cleaner was dry. i think smoke was black hard to tell let it run awhile cleared up when you rev it up kind of hard shots of fire back fire but runs fine at idle and above ? i will call tomorow i gess.

well there is no doubt about whether the weather is good or bad it is 4 below wind chill.there is no doubt whether i wouldrather be some placewith warmer weather. thanks Dee
