Just got my 06 night train last week & already ready to make changes. Is it real difficult to do minor changes yourself? Such as new pipes, air cleaner & probably a v&h fuel pak. I would like to save some money but don't want to get in over my head
As stated above. These three things will be the easiest hands on things that you can do to improve the look, sound and performance of your bike. It also gives you the pleasure of knowing you put your time into the bike...kinda like building a bond with your beloved bike!

I started wrenching on my bike last year. Have successfully completed a lot of various mods. Some went well and others took some work to get it right. This forum is great & is very helpful.
Make sure you look at the tech areas and the do-it-yourself areas of this board. I've found a ton of useful info there.
After I started doing the work myself, I was pissed that I let the dealer install my bags & crash bars when I ordered my bike. Those were two very easy add-ons and I would have saved several hundred dollars!
