I have a Heritage classic and was thinking about putting the front and rear fender rails that Harley has on the bike. Does anyone have these on their bike? If you installed them yourself did you have to drill the fender?
The fender rails for touring bikes don't require any drilling. I'm sure the front on Softails doesn't but am not sure about the back one. I heard they did but don't quote me on it.
I just bought the back rail to put on my Heritage.
Yes you have to drill two holes to mount it. Mine is not installed yet. I started to put it on last Saturday and decided it was too nice not to be riding. Was 72 out and put in about 100 miles.
