i cant make my mind between avon venoms and metzler 880s. just wanted to know what ppl thought. thanks
we run metzler 880's on two bikes (street glide and deluxe) and avon venoms on another deluxe.
no difference in ride quality
found the avon's $30 cheaper/set on ebay than metzlers.
happy with both brands; they are the top 2, IMO
Ihaven't used Metzeler, but I am on my 2nd set of Avons and love em. I gave up a little wear, but for the traction and handling I will give up around 2500 miles vs the OEM Dunlops.
I hate the Dunlops on wet roads. Road a buddies bike with ME 880's and had to have some. The Dunlop back tire lasted me 12,000 miles and I'm not expecting to get that much out of the ME880 but the difference on wet roads is enough for me to switch.
