Mine are off an 06......I think the 08's take the same riser. The bars are thicker but the riser mount is smaller as are the handle bar ends. The same way thechubby bars are designed. They don't have a new line of grips just for the new fatter bars.....I might be wrong

Dan, does your Deluxe have1" bars or 1 1/4" bars?

nope - the '08 FatBoy bars are 1 1/4" at the riser mount also. they do, however, reduce to 1" at the grips.

I've looked just abouy everywhere for new risers..... no one is offering them - yet. we're just unloved, redheaded stepchildren.

85FXWG I received the risers you sent. They are looking like brand new, thanks. I spoke to the mech at the shop and he said that deluxe risers would need cable changes on a Fatboy. I know that others have used different risers without changing cables so I'll give these a try. My questions (for anyone that has changed risers). Are the stock Fatboy riser bolts going to work? I have also read here that the front brake line needs a tweak or a bend. Any need to pull wiring out further? Was going to use the origional anniversary top clamp but hear the bolts don't line up the same for the clamps.(not a big deal) Bike is not at home so I can't look things over yet. Just want to ask before wrenching. Any help appreciated. Thank you very much.

Soul, i'm glad they made the trip in good shape. You will be fine with your stock cables. You asked about the stock fatboy riser bolts, the stock riser bolts are the correct size.

Default Risers on a Fatboy

Don't know if anyone reads this thread anymore. Here goes anyway.
I had 6.5" risiers put on mine and it is way comfortable. Probably due to that I am 5'10". Here are some pics.

Just thought I would bring this thread back....I installed 4 inch pull back risers yesterday to my '09 Fat Boy...really makes just the right difference for me...5'5" gal.....I even have some bend in my elbows now...way more comfortable than without and no issues with the cables...took about an hour with two of us...we needed or used a third body to help just a bit but definitely a two person job...HD would have charged 1 - 1.5 hrs labour...if anyone wants to see a pick I will post it as soon as I take one.
