What did your local dealer charge you for a Chrome engine kit and inner primary install?
I have two dealers close to me and one is quoting me 8 hrs at $69.00 hr labor, and the other is quoting me 10 hrs at $66.00 hr labor. $108.00 diffrence between dealers... Oh did I tell you that the dealersare both owned by the same owner. WTF!
What did you pay for your install? Trust me if I had the right tools I would be doing this myself!
I was quoted 8 hrs and 10 hrs also. By the same dealership. 8hrs to only do the chrome engine kit. 10 hrs to do the kit AND inner primary. The saving grace is that my local stealerhip only charges $57.00/hr for labor. I took mine to an indy wrench and saved a bunch of $$$$.
I am getting ready to do this myself. Only special tool needed was a torque wrench and the snapon dogbone for torque on rear rocker box, $30 part. Seach under my username and I started a thread about how to do this. Someone replied with pretty much a step by step guide. I have the polished bolts on order then will be attempting this.
