Bought it in an indirect fashion - it comes standard on a SuperGlide Custom. Head down to your nearest dealership, find an FXDC, and take a gander to see it in the flesh.
It do look sharp if you like chrome.
And I like chrome. In moderation. This doesn't cross the line.
Anyone ever buy this chrome engine kit for their SuperGlide? How much to install it all? Do you like the results? Any pics?
I bought and installed it on mine. I did the install and it took me 2 5-6 hour days to do it myself. It was hotter than hell those days and I took my time so could be done faster.
Do it yourself and order from Zanottis and its a pretty cheap upgrade. I would hate to see what a dealer charges for the kit and install
If cant do it your self then find a good Indy as they will probally be about half the labor charge.
Nice ride BBerck. Yea i bet the dealership charges too much. It makes
a nice contrast from the silver and chrome. Do it yourself and save the money
for something else. A service manual will give you all the torque specs you'll need.
If you have forward controls you can get the kit for the wide glide or softail and just plug the inner primary. I have an 2007 and use a chrome engine kit for a Rocker. all the part numbers for the seperate pieces are the same except the clutch release cover and it worked on my bike. It seems to have an extra gusset. I got mine on new on eBay $217 with gaskets.
