I was looking for a 200rear end for my FLSTC as its got a 130 rear end and it worked outcheaper to change the bike for a07 FLSTF than it was to change the rear end, I am actually going for the new Cross Bonea. But I reckon you will have the same problem talk to a good harley tech they should be able to tel you if the 1997 kit can be modifed to fit, asking cost nothing and they will either say yes or no, hearland do a good 180 kit they and are very helpful http://www.heartlandbiker.com/180conversion.shtml

..should be able to shave .250 off of inner side of caliper and add .250 spacer on other side of wheel and 150 will fit. You will need to change the nuts that hold fender on to the thin kind and changeout upper belt quard to the type that comes in HD kit.. and of course buy a D402150 tire. Lot's cheaper than a HD 150 kit and does the same thing.

I actually think that kit will work for your bike. A buddy of mine has that softail (84?) that no other parts fit, and he has that kit on it.

Would anyone know if there is a 150 tire kit from Harley Davidson that will fit on a 1996 FLSTF? The onlykits I could locate by Harley Davidson, were from 1997 and newer.
