I have a 08 Fat Boy, soon I will be starting the Stage 1 upgrade. I am leaning towards the Arlen Ness big sucker and a PC III. If using a PC III what would prevent me from using exhaust listed for a 06 instead of the 07/08?
Well, the '06 is a different motor, the 88ci, where as the '07 later is a 96ci. Also, make sure that IF you get a PCIII you buy an exhaust with the O2 Sensor bung, otherwise a SERT would be best. Hope that helps.
So, if I do a stage II on my 88" and go up to a 95" the PCIII I have won't work?? Pfffft! You CAN put an '06-earlier PCIII /'06-earlier pipes on a '07-later 96" motor...the PCIII does have the ability to by-pass the 02 sensorsbut IMO you'll need to have it dynoed to get thecorrecttuning.

As long as the 06 exhaustfits the 07/08, should be OK. Just make sure the PCIII is programmed for your configuration.
