Default chrome fatboy seat

can anyone tell me if they know how to tell the difference between the 2007 and later chrome seat verses the 2000 - 2006 chrome seat. the only thing i can tell is the shape they take around the strut where it bolts to the frame i am thinking my local dealer sold me the wrong one last fall thanks

I think in 2007 the fenders got wider because of the 200 tire.

due to the larger fender on the 07 and later models the seat is different unless it is a earlier screamin eagle fatboy and the 06 model had the 200mm rear tire.

Any easy way to tell the seats apart is by how it bolts on. The 2000-06 will bolt to the frame on the sides. The 2007-08 will have a tab on the back to bolt to the fender. So if you got it on, it's probably the correct one.
