Anyone out there ever re-coat their motor a different color?
I really like the black powdercoat with chrome trim. Is this do-able or is it too expensive to make it worth while.
Put enough chrome on it and it won't matter. If you ever upgrade to a stage 2, get your cylinders diamond cut while they are off, that would look really good too.
I don't have the cylinders cut at this point, but I've covered a lot of the silver powdercoat
The first pic was before I added the chrome oil tank and the chrome transmission top cover
Hay Dave, did you have any issues with those Big Shots when you put them on? I'd put them on hold cause, per the V&H website, they don't fit the standard. They look good and on a good looking sled too.

I went through the same ordeal. As you already know, according to the V&H web site they don't fit. So I called V&H tech support and got the same story. They said they would hit the forward controls.
The parts guy at my dealer (BTW, he's not your average parts guy, he knows his stuff) swore up and down they would fit and that I could return them if they didn't; so I went ahead and bought them.
Long story short, they bolted right up; no modifications necessary.
