You can ship some snow over here if you like
In Adelaide South Australia at the moment we are having one of the worst droughts on record and the weather has been hovering around 100 degrees and will be for the next week or so
The other end of the extreme, It's just too bloody hot to ride at the moment
Whew, now thats some kind of hot. Is that temp F or C? Hard to fathom that it can be just plaint too hot to ride, but its a fact. I rode back from Tenn last summer in the midst of 100+ temps and it took way long to make the sojourn when you are going bar to bar...lol
Otherwise, I'm in Circleville, Oh, and we got about 10" of that white stuff. It kills me how the area here seems to stop life itself if snow accumulates much past 1". Back in Michigan, like someone said, getting a foot or so at a time was just part of life and we just kept on keeping on....but have faith y'all, spring starts on March 20, which is my birthday, and I plan on a birthday ride dammit!
In Sunapee, NH we lucked out.
We got rain, at the rate of 1 inch an hour at times.
Rule of thumb is for every inch of rain it would equal seven inches of snow.
Can see some blur here and there but, snow is in the forecast again.
the good part about rain is it knocks down the snow in good shape.
The bad thing about rain is the ground is still frozen so rain brings the potential for flooding.
Whew, now thats some kind of hot. Is that temp F or C?
That would be F, In celsius we have been hitting 40 degrees, Thats about 104f and we are in for high 30's for the next week
Plus believe it or not, I have never seen snow
Our little Blizzard ended up being the second worst storm in the area's history and beat out the 1978 Blizzard that hit the Midwest.
After living in West Michigan for a few years, I am not too impressed though. However, I did get to test out the new snow blower on our 100 foot driveway and am really glad I had it.
We had drifts of about 3-4 feet in areas but mostly about 14 inches fell in my area. It was enough to cover up my Atlas Stones... the little bumps in the snow along the fence.
Hey you blokes just made the news over here, **** that looks cold, We hit 40c again today and no relief in sight
We are about to break records for the hottest march and you blokes are breaking records for snowfall
Amazing extremes aint it
