Default Night train signal mirrors

Hey guys im new to this, I'm just looking for a little input. I have an 08 night train and I am moving the turn signals to the mirrors. I just purchased heartland's black signal mirrors. I disconnected the old ones and ran the lines up through the hole in the tree. I am just short of reaching the mirrors, has anyone done this and if so what did the use an extension. I was thinking of just adding more wire and using black shrink tubing to cover the connection. Do you guys have a better idea?

that's what i would do...if you can, test them before doing the full install...get same or similar gauge wire (not sure it would affect though)...
btw welcome to the forum!...check out the NT thread!!

I'm no expert, but don't see why that wouldn't work...post up some good pics when you get them done...
