My dealer has done some work on my 08 Fat Boy here in the UK,i've a feeling they've routed
the rear brake line incorrect, should it run under the swingarm pivot boltor over?do any cables etc run over the top of the pivot bolt? i'd have thought all Softails would be the same.
This may not seem a big issue but along with other problems, it's all adding up!
Check where the stop light fitting is located. If it is in the middle with a chrome fitting and the switch goes in line then is the right one. My guess is that you have an older version and custom size. My estimate is that is from previous stock in hand.
No it's all oe, they removed the swingarm for repaint because they damagedit when fitting new wheels, there seems to be some slack on the rear hose, i'm thinking this should run over the pivot arm to take up the slack.
Ok thanks for the info, brake lines routed wrong and the clamps missing as well!
I could correct this myself, but then why should i.
Thanks.
Dont put up with it Basher, go to the dealer when they are busy n lots of people areabout and in a nice friendly way explain your problem and ask them what they plan to do to rectify the potentially dangerous problem!!

Dangerous is right. The loose line could get caught in the tire resulting in no rear brake and slippery brake fluid all over your rear tire.
