I like apes because the older that I get the less that I like to lean over. For me, the 16's that I have give me a more comfortable ride than the stock bars that came with my bike.

I agree. I'm a old fart. My back can't take leaning forward and huntched over . I been down the road of drag bars. They hurt .
Apes! I have drags and like them. However, the more I keep looking, the more I like apes. I think that I'm switching mine next year to 18" Carlini Gangster Apes.
Just finished mine and I will give you my .02 worth. First off bought a set of wild one's off ebay, long story short they were bent when I got them so I went to dealer and had them order a set of buffalo bars from Drag putting them side by side very little difference and quality looked to be that same. IMO I would buy the buffalo bars over the wild ones just from a price standpoint. Now with the money you save the best cables that I found were Sterling Chromite by magnum shielding they are identical to the diamondback cables from HD and a lot brighter than the barnett type cables that I have seen. They have a chrome appearance vs. a stainless. Appear to be good quality and price was pretty competitive. If you want any pics check out my online album or pm me and I will get you what ever you want a pic of. Good riding

Thanks this is very good to know. I have been shopping around and even went into the local dealer. The only thing I could get out of them is an arrogant stare and a shake of the head. I knew someone out there would be able to tell me what to look for. Thanks again!!!!!
