too bad the tread does not last long. I will get about 5500 miles on it before it wears smooth. I will try the new Michelin next time.

This is what i've been hearing as well, i got almost \\;11,000 on the stock dunlop. i was going to do the metzler tire but read to many post on there tread life.
I have the higher profile front Metzler with the Dunlop rear and i love the combination. handles much better than stock. The 210 rear is lower than stock rear and handles better but wears too fast.
I have the Metzler chart if anyone wants. just pm me with your email address.
I rack the miles too fast to be replacing a rear tire every 5K...I just replaced the D205 at 12K not quite to the wear bar, with a D407, and they tell me I should get more mileage from it than the D205...we'll see...
how big can i go on an 04 deuce? \\;\\\\\\; i have a 180 on there now...could i squeek a 200 on there?
 \\;\\\\\\;
I doubt it, if you look at your drive belt I'll bet its damn close to the tire as it is.
A 200 on there is sure to cause at least some interference between the two.

Just did this too at 10,300 and still wasn't at the wear mark but it had slid out twice while accelerating heavy in a turn and I said enough of that. \\; I couldn't see spending that kind of money on a tire that everyone says they only get 5K out of.
