Seriously wont be selling the bike, not a chance.Been pulled over several times but i think you have to expect that on a Harley.Love the beemer but would no way sell the Harley to get one,no chance.
Anyway ride on and ride safe......
I too was pulled over for as RBT on the weekend, and was expecting some flack for the pipes. Nothing was said, Count to 10 - good to go!!
Personally I don't think my pipes are too loud. I measured the standard pipes before changing, at idle about 90db. V&H BSS with Quite baffle at idle, about 93db.
The main difference seems to be when you get on the gas, take it easy and she growls along, crank it open and the thunder starts happening!
Moggs, I thought it was a good idea,,,,LOL. Keep that ride buddy, it's sweet.
Now, I know better than to reply to some of the responses you received about the rouge cops,,, so I won't, I just wish some of you guyscould ridein our shoes for a few days and I bet you'd change your mind somewhat, well maybe a few of you would, some of you,no chance.
I've been pulled over for varying reasons, on every bike I've ever owned. 95% of the cops I've dealt with were good guys, just doing the standard 'licence/insurance/registration' thing. The one dink I ever had to deal with gave me a ticket for disobeying a flagman at a construction site (although the 'flagperson' was still a 1/4 mile or so up the road...). He actually pulled me back over a few more miles up the road, and took the ticket back. I still thank the gods that my wife was along on that ride. No one would believe the story otherwise. Cops with a 'tude shouldn't make you rethink your choice of bikes, particularly if it is a one time thing. You kept your cool, and from what I can gather got away clean, without even a warning. Sounds like much ado about nothing. Ride on.
dunno what you look like or how you behaved (smile or frown), but with a bike like that he is not going to hassle you... ride on and enjoy. beemers are for penguins.
I'd never trade that thing in either. Or mine for that matter.
I had some guy bag on the Harley the other day at Pep Boys. I had left the ignition on, so my lights were on. This dude comes up to me and asked if I left my lights on. Told him, "Thanks, I do that all the time." He says, well if you'd have bought Honda you wouldn't have to deal with that.. I just kinda did the confused dog look like.. huh? What does that mean? lol.. People are f'in strange...
