Anyone got any experience in putting a 16" FLST front wheel on a 2003 FXST? I see there is a difference in the spacer setup, b/c now my wheel is not centered. Any ideas on the proper spacer size?
Thanks
My experience may or may not help. When I went from the 21" to the 16" on my Train, it was a direct bolt-on, using the same spacers. My bike does, however, have a Storz Racing fork with dual discs. Also, my old wheels were Xtreme Machine billets- not stockers. When I ordered my wheels from Black Bike in SoCal, he was very familiar with Storz, and simply provided the correct wheel (hub). The whole operation took about 1/2 hour to R&R.
Hey jbt, yeah I think the difference is in the width of the FXST 21" wheel hub and the FLST 16 inch wheel hub. I am wondering if anyone knows the actual spacer sizes needed to make up the difference.
Did you not read the post directly above yours? That link in there has all the info you will need.
I just did the same thing on my bike except its an '07. This is a link to the company I got my rotorspacer from. http://www.vulcanworks.net/store_4/p...t=2&page=1Great quality and they were extremely helpful and shipped immediately.
Hey Blackness... thanks for that link for Vulcan.
I will probably buy a correct size single spacer for
my bike and replace what I have the next time I get
a new tire....(5 min. later, update... just ordered the spacer on 03/26/2008..willmodify my conversion documents as soon as I make sure the spacer fits OK... )
