I have the SE stage 1 kit as I got a good deal on e-Bay for a brand new one.
Other one I was looking at was the thundermax and the NESS.

I have a SE tear drop style cover. same that came on the CVO deuce.

I've used K&N on all of my cars and motorcycles and have no complaints. How can you complain about a filter you never have to replace?

I used the Arlen Ness Big Sucker on my Heritage and love it. I picked it up from Eastern Performance (a sponsor of this site, I believe) for under $100 with free shipping.

just a heads up on the HD filter. I replaced my (blue) hd air filter in my stage 1 se kit this past week. I've got about 25,000 miles on my softail standard. The blue hd filter was coming apart around the edges. The material could be sucked into the motor.

Dealer replacement element is now a paper filter style. I bought a K+N filter instead. Fits the se kit and goes under the stock football cover no problem.

If you order the se kit be sure you run something other than the HD paper filter, doubt its much good. And if it comes with a blue filter watch it closely for deterioration. I belive there were other posts on this forum about the hd filter problems.

cheers
