Are those the X Bones saddlebags. Have any close up shots of the bags, they look cool. Thinking of a set for my Deluxe.

yes those are the bags specifically for the xbones, they are ok in size. i have raingear (jacket and pants) for both my wife and i on the left side and i am able to pack clothes for 2 days in the right. much smaller than i was used to, but not bad. they are also quick release.
tn...the air filter comes with a rain sock, although i was told that unless its pouring you dont really need it

SE, the bags aren't quick disconnect are they. I know that the sissybar is and according to the docking hardware instructions it appears that the bolts that hold on the docking hardware goes hardmount thru the back of the bag, thru the docking hardware, and screws into the side rails. I don't know for sure since mine bags won't be here until tomorrow. Jerry

Maybe he meant the flaps are quick release opening. Because I was hoping that the bags that are made for the x bones were quick lease too, but there not, tell you what sucks though, this is what the parts guy told me when i got the sissy bar i had to choose between the docking hardwear for either the sissy bar by itself or the sissy bar bag hardwear, as in if you get the docking for the sissy/ bag mounts you cant run the sissy bar with out the bags but you can run the bags with out the sissy bar, and since I have'nt decided on the bags yet I had to just buy the sisy bar docking hardwear, so in the furture I will have to buy the other docking hardwear for both.

BTL, I don't think you will. Looking at the docking hardware kit I think that the only difference in the two kits is the bolt length and type. The one with the saddlebag one is just an long bolt with an ugly hex head not chromed or anything. I believe with your kit since the bolt head is exposed it probably is chromed and obviously shorter. If you want sometimes we can compare parts lists since I have the saddlebag docking kit. Jerry

I threw those bags on my Xbones and am really digging it. The clips make the bags really easy to open even with big gloves on (still winter here). Does anyone know if that sissybar comes with that back rest or is it seperate?

Nope, the "little backrest" is extra. I got it for $48 at Chicago HD.

Picking up my new Bones in a couple weeks.Dark blue pearl. Originally ordered a Pewter denim and saw this dark blue pearl on the floor and fell in love with it. Put a down payment on it last Saturday and ordered V&H short shots staggered, standard SE air kit, power commander, and back seat. I'm frickin 'eh pumped

screamin Eagle, with your mods, did you have to get a fuel processor or power commander or something of that nature for you bike? Or was the dealer able to adjust your computer as it is? How does it run if you did n't have to go with a power commander? Just curious cuz my parts guy said that they can re map but chances are that the bike won't run as efficient without the power commander.
