WOOHOO...picked up the new cross bones, the dealer scratched the primary cover, so they're replacing it for me, i asked for a black one rather than the polished aluminum. thay told me "yes" i was shocked. my only cost is going to be the derby cover ($38)...thats very cool. spoke to "doc" on the phone earlier and he gave me the green light to "ride it like i stole it"...i'm very psyched, just need to find a good tuner in the ft laud area to make sure its tuned properly. i have added, rear seat with sissy bar, saddle bags, lighted buckshot mirrors, 103 big bore kit v&h br 2-1, high vel se air cleaner, race tuner, plus a lot more. took the reflectors off the forks immediatley. pictures will follow soon. need to get a good camera first.
SE, congrats on the new XBones. You are not going to believe how well it handles!! Pics, we need pics 103CC, boy you are going to be able to fly with that bad boy. I just installed the quick detachable windshield on mine today and that was a big job...had to remove the headlight and handlebars to mount the bracket behind the springs. But got it all together and it looks really good. It all lines up at the same angle as the springer front end and will keep me from being a kite in the wind at interstate speeds.
SE, awesome bike! Question, I really like the SE air filter cone style, but what do you do when it rains? Also how do you like the bags, they look a lot bigger than most pictures from HD I have seen (BTW mine will be here Monday). Have you found a way to make them quick disconnect?
