Hello folks, my wife just got a 06 softail deluxe. This is her first Harley and she loves the bike. Although, her first comment was she was having a hard time getting the kick stand up and down. The problem is to get the standup or down you have tolean the bike pass centerto the right andit could get her of balance if she was on a grade. I looked at the stand and don't see any adjustment. Is this the normal operation for the stand and if so any suggestions to fix the stand so it dose not extend down so far.
Has the bike been lowered?
If so the odds are that you really need a shorter jiffy stand.
If it hasn't, ya got me. I haven't a clue why it would be that way unless something is wrong with the bike, the way the stand is mounted, or it got bent somehow.

The bike is stock and in new condition, although the deluxe model is the lowest of all harleys, that's why she selected that model. A shorter stick would do the trick, I will check with the dealer and see what they say. Thanks for the input.
