Front fender 08 softail
I noticed a small hole in the lower part of my front fender, does anyone know why it is there? not a big deal you can hardly see it unless you are really looking it over, just curiuos.

The purpose of the hole in the front fender is tocreateadditional air flowto assist with cooling the engine.

You're all wrong.
It's a relief hole for stress cracking due to the extreme vibrationscaused by wind turbulence across the leading edgeof the fender. The foil thickness was to thinfrom design and it was to costly to recallhundreds of thousands of front fenders!
