Hey Ya'll,
Got a question for the experts out there. I have a 200 NightTrain, Twim Cam 88 that needs a bigger carb. I've done some minor improvements like, better coil, ignition module, pipes, spark plugs and wiresand will put on a Hyper Charger (and some cams sometime in the future). Talked to a good bud and he suggested the Screamin' Eagle 44 mm Race App and tuner kit. Now the questions: Does anyone else have a suggestion for a carb? And to tune the carb should Iget the DynoJet Thunderslide kit for thisthing or is it good enough to get the basic tuner kit? Thanks for the assist...

If that's all you've done you do not need a carb.Rejet stock CV. With a bigger carb you will lose bottom end TQ. Don't waste your money. The stock carb works well up to about 120hp.
Zoomie,
I alsojeted my stock carb when I put on the new high flow breather/air cleaner kit with a standard DynoJet kit. Still looking for more (ain't we all). Any suggestions?
Thanks Bro...

Friend take my word for it and the word of many many others. Matter a fact do a search. You do not need a new carb. Save the cash. I have had bikes with S&S,Mikuni and the stock Kehein. A couple mods to the stock carb and your every bit as good with that motor. everyone fusses about S&S its easy but old technology, nothing wrong with that but you won't gain a thing with it.

If you are looking for a small boost at a reasonable price and good millage then go with the CV 44. It is bullet proof and you can use most of your installed parts.
The Super G' and E or D are good carbs but are best suited for evos and larger capacity bikes (96cui on)
The mikuni is a great carb at a higher price (if you calculate the extra parts needed)
But what ever you do, get the SE module, Coil, sparks and wires.
If you want more after Stage 1it's time to start looking at stage 2 or 3. Heads, cams, bigbore cylinders with a compression bump, and maybe a stroker crank. You can get the parts to do a 95",100hp/100tq buildfor around $1500-$2000 if you use your stock cylinders and heads. Labor to install runs anywhere from $600-$1000.00. Less if you use the stock cam chain drivesystem. Just slapping a bigger carb on a stage 1 rig ain't gonna get it and you don't need it.
