Default RE: New Carb

Zoomie, Mulch et All,
Thanks for the advise and assistance. Based on what ya'll have come up with (and a little research) I looking at not getting a bigger carb just yet. But, here is what I'm looking at doing and any suggestions are welcome. So far I've jetted the stock carb with a DynoJet Kit, put on a SE high flow air breather/cleaner kit, have 1 3/4 in straight drag pipes (with torsion cones in the front but no baffles, yes it sets off car alarms at 50 feet...HA!), upgraded Ignition Moduale, Upgraded Coil, better wires and spark plugs, and a reduced Pull Clutch (all put on inmy or my bud's backyard) as well as some cosmetic parts (braided cables, pegs, grips, etc). Ithink I'm going to go ahead and buya Hyper Charger (really like the look) and replace the aircleaner kit(unless anysuggestions otherwise). I've read the Carb part of the forums and have some ideas on getting better performance out of my stock carb. Any other advise/suggestions on getting more out of my carb? Lastly, I do plansometime in future (not sure) to get some gear driven cams and drop a 95 kit in as well.
Thanks again Bros..
Somewhere in the Philippines...
Todd

I have an S&S Super "E" carb on my bike. When I put the pipes on I lost HP. When I put the carb on and had it dynoed it brought it back to stock HP but I got more Torque. Plus a S&S Carb looks cool!

The first thing I did after putting the pipes, and Ness Big Sucker AC was a Mikuni 42mm carb. It felt like I had put a big cam in it. Major improvement in throttle response and low end powwer and it bolted right on. No fancy tuning. Best money I ever spent on it.
S&S carbs are for flat out running and they work for that but for all around riding & thottle response, the Mikuni beats it all to hell. I've had both.
