Default anyone tried this rear wheel set-up?

i saw a chart that says i can put a 160/60/18 on the rear of my '02 softail using an 18"x4.25" wheel without making any modifications. has anyone done this? any pics?

Yes you can. You need to use a non-standard hub that moves the wheel to the right a bit, might need new spacers too. I had to machine a bitoff my spocket also. It is a tight fit though so you will need to clear the inside of the fender well making sure the strut bolts do not protrude into the fender. A 150 tireismuch more managable.

doin a 150 without any mods (so i'm told) for now. i have heard a hundred different theories about this. from not having to change anything, to having to buy spacers, caliper, smaller belt, etc.. we'll see... thanks for the input...

I think you'll run in to brake and drive pully issues?

Thats the setup we just finished putting on my 92 fxsts. We changed to a chain drive and it lined up perfect. We didn't have to use any spacer kit just the sprocket conversion. We also went with a straight 46 tooth sprocket on the rim. We did have to go with a wider fender though I don't know if you will.
